Agricultural Engineer from the Universidad de la Frontera (1996); Magister in Agricultural Sciences mention Crop Production (MSc) and Doctor in Agricultural Sciences (Dr) at the Catholic University of Chile. He began his professional activity more than 24 years ago, in the agrochemical industry, to later emigrate to the university world, seeking to better develop his interest in creating new knowledge. He was deputy director of the Center for Agricultural and Environmental Research (University of Viña del Mar), to later join as Director of Research and Graduate Studies and professor at the School of Agricultural Sciences, at the same University. It is here that, together with Marcelo Kogan and Manuel Araya begins to participate in the development of SIDAL, as the option to continue the development of knowledge in the area of ​​weed control, environmental dynamics and safety in agro-industrial production, related to pesticides and other agricultural inputs. He has participated in more than 35 national and international conferences and has published over 45 scientific and technology transfer articles, three books, two book chapters and two innovation patents.
